Description: Building Services Engineer Iraq TAX FREE SALARY WE REQUIRE ONLY UK BASED CANDIDATES WHO HAVE LESS THAN 4 WEEKS NOTICE PERIOD/AVAILABILITY

Required: Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services Engineer Officers, to be based in Iraq to work for a market leading, in support of additional contract awards and operational expansion. We are seeking to appoint experienced Mechanical, Electrical and Building Services Engineers for a new project in Iraq.

The team is responsible for providing support, advice & guidance on all design, construction, commissioning and O&M matters. The project is a new build camp in a remote location, comprising; accommodation, offices, storage/warehouses, cooking/dining facilities & associated life support services. The successful candidates will lead all mechanical, electrical and building works, advising the Client, Project Team and Contractor as appropriate.

You will be site based and should be able to work with minimal supervision. You should have oversight of all mechanical, electrical & building fit-out, installation and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with the design, appropriate standards and codes of practice.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee mechanical works ensuring compliance with the design, standards and codes of practice.
• Oversee electrical works ensuring compliance with the design, standards and codes of practice.
• Oversee building fit-out works ensuring compliance with the design, standards and codes of practice.
• Provide advice & solutions to site issues, to ensure project is delivered to time & budget.
• Advise on sequence of works and monitor project progress.
• Ensuring the appropriate QA/QC is applied, identifies defects and advising on remedial works where required.
• Providing guidance on codes of practice, BS EN standards and best practice.
• Attend site and progress meetings / site inspections and handover boards.
• Assists in writing of O&M strategy, compiles O&M documentation and manuals.
• Assists the Project Team in other tasks as required.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates should be qualified to a minimum of HNC, HND or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification experience
• Must have site based supervisory experience and be able to work independently
• Client facing experience

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in a minimum of 2 of the following:

• Power generation & distribution (generator sets up to 1500kVA, 400 / 230 / 120 V switchgear, transformers & distribution systems)
• Package water plant & distribution (storage tanks, ring mains, pumping stations)
• Package sewage treatment plant & distribution (storage tanks, mains, pumping stations)
• Building fit out (kitchen & cold storage, CCTV, fire alarms, IT/Telecoms)
• Lighting systems interior (offices, accommodation, workshops, etc) & exterior (car parks, security, access roads, etc)
• HVAC
